The City of Perry provides garbage service to citizens as part of the regular utility service. Residential collection is twice a week with collection days depending on the where you are located. Residents can provide their own garbage receptacles, or they can rent a polycart for a nominal monthly fee.

Commercial garbage service is provided for businesses with the option of either a polycart for lower volume businesses or dumpsters for higher volume businesses. Commercial garbage is collected two, four, or six times a week depending on the location of your business. In addition to normally scheduled collection, the city also offers the Convenience Center for bigger items and bigger loads that don't fall into normal collection cycles. Items like brush, yard waste, used motor oil, furniture, construction waste for do-it-yourself homeowners, and a host of other items can be taken to the Convenience Center for disposal. The Convenience Center is free to use for utility customers but requires that you present a copy of your utility bill to prove that you have garbage service.
